In November 2025 Novo and Eli Lilly announced agreements with the Trump administration under which Medicare and Medicaid prices for Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound would be $245 a month, Medicare would cover Wegovy and Zepbound for obesity with related conditions for the first time, and beneficiaries would pay a $50 copay.

Cash prices on the new TrumpRx website were set at $350 for starting doses, trending down to $245. Novo reportedly received a three-year tariff exemption. Novo's CEO Mike Doustdar said the deal would bring semaglutide to more patients at a lower cost. Analysts noted it was unclear how the headline discounts compared with the net prices plans already paid. The deal marked a sharp shift from the HELP hearing a year earlier.
