The known resolutions add up to well over $1 billion. On the criminal side, Sandoz paid a $195 million penalty, Teva $225 million and Glenmark $30 million; these were among seven generic companies prosecuted by the Antitrust Division. Teva also paid $25 million to resolve related civil False Claims Act allegations. On the state side, Sandoz agreed to about $469 million, Apotex and Heritage paid a combined $49.1 million, and Lannett and Bausch $17.85 million. According to the states, the drugs involved generated billions of dollars in US sales, so the eventual total, including any recovery from Teva, could be considerably larger. Several settlements also require compliance reforms.
